This course series teaches you how to use the movement system to assess, diagnose and treat athlete movement dysfunction. This series covers both the upper half and lower half of the body.

The material is highly interactive with an emphasis on the practical application of principles covered in the course. At the conclusion of the course, you will have a greater understanding of how to integrate movement-based assessments into sport-specific treatments.

Course Objectives/Outcomes

By the end of the course, a successful learner will be able to:

  • Understand the biomechanics, critical events and sports specific demands of baseball, tennis, volleyball, swimming, and rock climbing.
  • Identify how to perform sport-specific assessments for endurance, speed, agility, and power.
  • Select appropriate movement assessments and treatments for the cervical spine, lumbar spine, shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, and foot for athletes.
  • Provide interventions based on faulty movement patterns observed relating to key impairments obtained from the objective examination.

  • Price: $450

    Hours: 10.5

During the lower half content, you will learn how to use mobility, muscle performance and movement assessments to classify athlete movement dysfunction. You will then integrate this knowledge into advanced sport-specific assessment techniques. Based on your findings you will learn how to use a rehabilitation framework to develop lower half intervention for athletes.

By the end of the course, a successful learner will be able to:

    • Describe the biomechanics, critical events and sports specific demands of baseball, tennis, volleyball, swimming, and rock climbing.
    • Identify how to perform sport-specific assessments for endurance, speed, agility, and power.
    • Select appropriate movement assessments and treatments for the lumbar spine, hip, knee, and foot for athletes.
    • Provide interventions based on faulty movement patterns observed relating to key impairments obtained from the objective examination.

  • Price: $450

    Hours: 9.25

During the upper half content, you will review the critical events that occur during baseball, tennis, volleyball, swimming, and rock climbing. You will then integrate movement analysis findings into sport specific mobility and muscle performance assessments. Based on objective tests and measures you will then learn how to develop sport-specific upper half interventions based on rehabilitation framework.

By the end of the course, a successful learner will be able to:

    • Describe the biomechanics, critical events and sports specific demands of baseball, tennis, volleyball, swimming, and rock climbing.
    • Identify how to perform sport-specific assessments for endurance, speed, agility, and power.
    • Select appropriate movement assessments and treatments for the cervical spine, lumbar spine, shoulder, and elbow for athletes.
    • Provide interventions based on faulty movement patterns observed relating to key impairments obtained from the objective examination.
