The EIM Sports Physical Therapy Residency provides 18-months of clinical and didactic education for physical therapists designed to advance the resident’s preparation as a highly skilled provider of patient care services in sports physical therapy. Ongoing clinical supervision and mentoring with a theoretical basis for advanced practice and scientific inquiry provides the framework for this program. Graduates exemplify clinical excellence in sports physical therapy and are well-versed in the prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement for today’s athletes.

EIM’s Sports Physical Therapy Residency Program has a 94% graduation rate, 100% Board Certification Process participation and 98% Board Certification success.
Per the temporary guidance issued by the accrediting body, the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education (ABPTRFE), this program includes courses that will be offered as a virtual lab experience in response to COVID-19. This Virtual Lab Experience is an immersive online environment that brings together everything you love about EIM’s in-person weekend intensives.
Note on prerequisite: While we encourage participants to take EIM’s Emergency Medical Response Course as a prerequisite for the Sports Physical Therapy Residency, we will consider similar courses taken elsewhere on a case-by-case basis.
