We’re continuing our discussion from last week on how not to give someone advice. I think we’ve learned one HUGE thing:
Don’t give others advice.
Unless they come to you and ask for it, of course.
Last week, we learned all about the reasons why not to give someone else advice (and the understanding of our own reflection in the giving of advice – VERY IMPORTANT). We also discussed some questions you can ask yourself and try so you could be prepared for this week’s continuation, which is the HOW!
Dr. Daphne Scott has some skills on HOW you can listen better, understand the other person better, and, if asked, give advice in a much more effective and healthy way!
