At the end of this course, the successful learner will be able to implement concepts of therapeutic evaluation and progression post traumatic injury as it pertains to hand therapy practice.

Course Objectives/Outcomes

By the end of the course, a successful participant will be able to: 

  • Distinguish appropriate treatment strategies for edema  
  • Modify therapeutic progression based on edema and tissue reaction throughout the healing process 
  • Identify types of wounds and appropriate evaluation wounds  
  • Manage wound healing utilizing evidence-based treatment for a variety of wounds
