This course is designed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of stroke progression, and treatment options in the acute to chronic stages. The participants will then gain an introductory understanding of an evidence-based hyperbaric oxygen protocol for post stroke recovery in the chronic stage, including the principles of the hyperoxic hypoxic paradox and its role in neurological recovery and repair.

By the end of the course, a successful learner will be able to:

• Describe the expanded timeline for post stroke recovery into the chronic stage.
• Recognize which patients can benefit from HBOT based on the hyperoxic-hypoxic paradox
• Explain how to prescribe HBOT for extended list of conditions
