Bio

Heather Barkley graduated Cum Laude from Florida Southern College with a BS in Athletic training in 2018. She graduated from Plymouth State University with a post-professional Masters in Athletic Training in 2021 where she worked as a graduate assistant. She worked in Collegiate athletics at numerous schools. She now works at a secondary sports insurance company while still practicing as a per diem Athletic Trainer in the greater Pittsburgh area. 

In the summer, she serves as one of the Medical Transportation Directors at Camp Woodward, an action sports camp. She started as an athletic training student intern and continued to work as an ATC and then ATC supervisor prior to stepping into the Medical Transportation role. Her time at Woodward has created a passion for emergency care. 

In her free time, She lives with her partner Hunter and 2 cats, Captain and Pluto. She practices Brazilian Jiu Jistu and is an avid lifter. You can count on her to always have a book and snacks nearby!
