Bio

Dr. Jordre is a professor of Physical Therapy in the School of Health Sciences at the University of South Dakota (USD). She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Duke University School of Medicine (2002) and her PhD in Health Sciences from the University of South Dakota (2021). She is board certified in Geriatric Physical Therapy and is a Certified Exercise Expert for Aging Adults. Her teaching at USD includes an emphasis on older adults as well as content related to differential diagnosis, rural health, and orthopedic conditions. Dr. Jordre engages in ongoing research and service with the National Senior Games Association (NSGA). She is the creator of the Sustained Athlete Fitness Exam (SAFE), a tool to assess physical fitness in older athletes developed using population-specific norms compiled over more than a decade of research.
