What does it mean to be present?
Being present is where we are placing and resting our attention as well as the actual quality of our attention. We are present when the quality of our attention is without blame and judgment, and it is open and curious. Without practice, we just aren’t that present. Our mind is always off in the past or the future.
Today, Dr. Daphne Scott will discuss some of the things that prevent us from being present, how we can overcome those things, and how we can actually practice being present. The key is to practice this. It takes intentional focus and time, but it is well worth it.
How will you practice getting and being present?
