This course is designed to improve the participant’s understanding and use of Hyperbaric treatment when working with clients with long COVID. Participants learn how COVID-19 affects the brain and become familiar with the subsequent symptoms of this infection. The participants will then gain an introductory understanding of HBOT and how this cutting-edge treatment can ameliorate tissue damage caused by COVID-19, particularly when used in conjunction with other therapies as holistic treatment.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course, a successful learner will be able to:

• Describe how COVID-19 acts on the brain
• List the various body systems affected by COVID-19
• Identify the psychological, respiratory, cardiac, cognitive, and physical symptoms of COVID-19
• Explain how Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment acts on the brain to improve overall symptoms of COVID-19
• Outline the role of HBOT in a holistic approach to treating Long COVID
