At the end of this course the successful learner will be able to implement general concepts of the healing process, pain, and orthotic fabrication as the foundation used throughout hand therapy progression and continued learning.

Course Objectives/Outcomes

By the end of the course, a successful participant will be able to: 

  • Explain general therapy concepts of progression based on bone healing  
  • Explain general therapy concepts based on soft tissue healing  
  • Modify basic concepts of therapeutic progression based on different fixation principles  
  • Identify a variety of treatment approaches associated with rehabilitation of the upper quarter
