For: All licensed healthcare providers

In this final course of the program, learners will integrate their understanding of behavioral health, pain, quality of life, behavior change, and overall wellbeing.  They will demonstrate how these elements impact clinical participation, treatment planning, and outcomes in rehab or medical settings.  With guidance from expert faculty, learners will choose between two options, both of which create immediately actionable tools for the learner to utilize in their sphere of influence.  They will have three weeks to produce their end product and will receive feedback on how to take it to the next level for real-world implementation.  This is the course that puts “boots to the ground” in terms of advocacy for the inclusion of behavioral health within the broader healthcare community versus the outdated and ineffective siloed approach that dominates the current landscape.

By the end of the course, a successful learner will be able to:

  • Consolidate relevant behavioral health knowledge in the context of their clinical setting that equips health care providers to screen for and manage patients with behavioral health comorbidities.
  • Construct an educational presentation with a flyer.
  • Formulate a plan to deliver and implement the tool developed
