Zach graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2011 and has always had a passion for working with athletes of all ages. Zach has a special interest in Olympic lifting and functional fitness due to his interest in CrossFit as well as always having a special place for football and baseball players and early in his career completed his CrossFit Level 1 training.
After joining Athletico in 2014, Zach enrolled in the Sports Physical Therapy residency by Evidence in Motion. After completion of all this course work Zach took a board specialty examination from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in order to receive his board certification in 2017 During his course work Zach was also required to work on the side line of sporting venues in both the high school and college setting. During this time he developed a special relationship with Peoria Central High School especially the football, wrestling and track team as he undertook the development of their strength and conditioning programs.
Zach has become a Level 2 CrossFit coach in order to enhance his ability to better coach athletes through functional movements as well as completing course to be certified in the clinical management of the fitness athlete. Zach also enjoys continuing his relationships with his patient by also continuing their fitness journey by creating fitness, strength and conditioning and sport specific programming.
Zach epitomizes hard work, integrity and motivation which allows Zach to develop a special relationship with his patients as well as his referral sources. Zach is married to his wife Tiffany, who also works in the medical profession, and they continue to live in the area they serve. Together they have two children, their son Knox and their daughters Lyla and Eliette and they all enjoy spending their evening with their black labrador retriever, Onyx. Zach’s hobbies and interests include Olympic weightlifting and CrossFit, hunting and fishing and cooking for his family and friends.
