My name is Mike Brown, and I have been a licensed and certified athletic trainer since 2013. I have a Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training from Florida Southern College (2012) and a Master of Arts in Exercise Science with concentration in Lifetime Wellness from Tennessee Technological University (2014). Further, I am a licensed Emergency Medical Responder (2023) and volunteer for our local Putnam County Rescue Squad (2022) where I am trained in emergency vehicle operations and extrication. I am currently working on training with the PCRS, specifically for a quick action task force in the event/s of a mass casualty situation (active shooter threat, etc.). Currently, I work as a Head Athletic Trainer in the collegiate setting day to day where I am able to expand my skills and knowledge. I am looking forward to being a part of the EIM team and excited for the opportunity to continue to grow education opportunities for healthcare professionals.
*I have been part of a written publication in the IJSPT on a case report: POSTERIOR STERNOCLAVICULAR JOINT DISLOCATION IN A DIVISION I FOOTBALL PLAYER: A CASE REPORT (published Oct. 2015).
