Bio

Dr. Matthew Vraa, PT, DPT, DSc, MBA, OCS, CMTPT, FAAOMPT, has 19 years of a staff therapist, private practice owner, and academician.  Currently, he is the Program Director of the EIM Hybrid Learning Certificate and the Dean, along with the Program Director for the School of Physical Therapy at Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington.  Previously, he was the Director of Clinical Education and Musculoskeletal Lead at Concordia University – St. Paul Doctor of Physical Therapy Program and the Program Director of a first of its kind Hybrid Physical Therapist Assistant Program at Rasmussen University.

He earned his Master’s in Physical Therapy from Carroll College in Waukesha, Wisconsin, in 2002, and his Master’s in Business Administration with a Healthcare Finance emphasis in 2009 from Argosy University.  He completed his Transitional Doctoral of Physical Therapy degree from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, in 2012.  He has also finished the Regis University Manual Therapy Fellowship program and his DSc in Physical Therapy with Bellin College in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  Matthew’s past education is in a wide variety of manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and cognitive-behavioral approaches to treat chronic pain and his experiences in curriculum and instructional design for residential and hybrid higher education models.
