Bio

Dr. Matt Hernandez, PT is a physical therapist and clinic director for a private practice outpatient clinic in San Antonio, Texas. He started his educational career by graduating from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise & Sports Science. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He has been practicing in outpatient physical therapy since 2017 and has been in leadership since 2022. He completed the Sports Certification program through Evidence in Motion and is now a Board-Certified Sports Specialist. He is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association.

He has a high interest in treating various orthopedic and sports related conditions and takes pride in providing evidence-based specific treatments as well as utilizing his strength & conditioning knowledge to progress beyond typical care. He enjoys learning as well as mentoring young clinicians and acts a mentor to those going through their sports residency and leads sports residency rounds in San Antonio.
