Pain Science
I was born in Manresa, a city 45 minutes north of Barcelona, Spain. Graduated in 2005 from Fundació Universitària del Bages (FUB), now known as UManresa (Universitat Central de Catalunya).
I moved to the United States in 2013 and was able to transfer all my credentials from Spain after a long 2-year process. Passing the NPTE Board Exam was a big relief because it meant I could continue doing what I love the most and I was fortunate enough to start working right away as a staff physical therapist with Tidewater Physical Therapy in Williamsburg, VA which later on was acquired by Pivot Physical Therapy in which currently I hold the Clinic Director role in their Gloucester Courthouse Clinic in Virginia.
I initiated my journey in pain science around 2010, when I was doing my Masters in Manual Therapy in the Universidad de Granada (Spain). Once I was working and established in the USA, I thought it was a great opportunity for me to enroll in the Therapeutic Pain Specialist Certification from the International Spine and Pain Institute, (ISPI) along with the post professional Doctor of Physical Therapy, (tDPT) with Evidence in Motion, (EIM) which I completed in 2017.
Finally, I completed the Pain Science fellowship through EIM last January 2021 and I have been part of Evidence in Motion’s faculty in their Pain Science division since then.
