Pain Science
Glen graduated from Elon University with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree (DPT). Prior to Elon, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in Biomechanics from NC State University. He has completed a two year Clinical Residency in Orthopedic Physical Therapy, through Evidence In Motion. Also, he is currently a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association.
After graduating, Glen worked in outpatient orthopedics, gaining experience in post-surgical management of hip labral tears, meniscus repair, ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repairs, Lisfranc injuries, and complex neck and back surgeries. Glen has experience in Maitland and McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment, and is certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling. He has completed a 2 year Therapeutic Pain Specialization, through the International Spine and Pain Institute, to become more informed on working with patients with persistent, chronic pain. Lastly, he is a certified Kinesotaping Practitioner and a certified LSVT BIG provider. Currently, he is completing a Fellowship in Pain Sciences, through the International Spine and Pain Institute, working on research on use of Pain Neuroscience Education through Virtual Reality and the bias inherent with use.
A native of Burlington, NC, Glen and his wife, Christina, enjoy hiking, biking, working out, and practicing yoga. They have a daughter, Penelope, and son, Oliver, who enjoys giggling and smiling. They also love to travel and have a goal of visiting every continent. In his free time, Glen and his wife work on their beehives and love to play with their dog and two cats.
