Bio

Eric Fjeldheim, PT, DPT, FPS, TPS is a physical therapist, educator, and pain science specialist whose work bridges clinical practice, entry-level education, and post-professional training. He serves as Physical Therapist Assistant Department Supervisor and Instructor at Lake Area Technical College, and is a course author and subject matter expert in integrative pain management and pain science for Evidence in Motion’s university partner programs and post-professional curriculum.

Clinically, Dr. Fjeldheim spent eight years as a staff physical therapist with Prairie Lakes Healthcare System in Watertown, where he developed a strong interest in contemporary pain neuroscience and its translation into everyday patient care. He holds certifications as a Fellow of Pain Sciences and Therapeutic Pain Specialist and is an Evidence in Motion–certified Canvas Instructor.

Dr. Fjeldheim’s teaching experience spans both PTA and DPT education, including serving as adjunct faculty for Integrative Pain Management in the Augustana University Doctor of Physical Therapy program and for Dimensions of Wellness at the University of Sioux Falls. His scholarship focuses on pain mechanisms and clinical decision-making; he is a coauthor on a study examining tactile grid localization accuracy in individuals with and without low back pain.
