Bio

Emily has 17 years of experience as an outpatient physical therapist, with a diverse background ranging from pulmonary rehabilitation to orthopedics. Over the past 8 years, she has developed a specialty in Pain Science. Emily earned her DPT from the University of Colorado in 2007, followed by a Therapeutic Pain Specialist certification through the International Spine and Pain Institute in 2016. In 2023, she completed the Fellowship of Pain Science program through Evidence In Motion. 

In addition to her specialized training in Pain Science, Emily is certified in dry needling, yoga instruction, and pelvic health treatment. She owns and operates an outpatient practice in Denver, CO, where she focuses on treating nervous system conditions. Emily provides comprehensive care for a wide range of pain conditions, including Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and sensory processing disorders. Her expertise also extends to treating nervous system injuries, such as spinal cord injuries and post-operative nervous system trauma. 

Emily is a strong advocate of the bio-psycho-social approach to healthcare, emphasizing the importance of addressing patients’ goals, roles, sleep, and pain education. She integrates manual therapy and sensory techniques to offer holistic, patient-centered care.
