Dry Needling
Slav is a physiotherapist with a passion for his work. He began his training in the field of fitness and exercise as he pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Health Science. After completing a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta, Slav continued with post-graduate training and education in the field of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy, including Functional Dry Needling/ Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS). He believes strongly in the intergration of functional dry needling in rehabilitation of orthopaedic and neuromuscular conditions, and is an assistant instructor, FDN level 1 and Level 2.
In 2016, Slav completed a Master’s of Clinical Science in Manipulative Therapy from The University of Western Ontario, and holds an advanced orthopaedic and manual therapy standing (FCAMPT).
Slav has served in several teaching and education roles including as a clinical instructor of physiotherapy and medical students at University of Toronto. He continues to teach in post professional development as an assistant instructor in Functional Dry Needling. In 2022 Slav completed an Advanced Clinician Practitioner in Arthritis Care certificate program at University of Toronto. Slav works in a regional hospital in the surgical services as an advanced practice physiotherapist and in a community rehabilitation clinic helping patients with orthopaedic disorders return to high levels of function.
