Occupational Therapy
Marissa is an occupational therapist. She has spent her career at the intersection of clinical practice, research, and education, as a research occupational therapist, practicing clinician, and educator of OTA and OTD students. Her clinical experience is in neurorehabilitation in both pediatric and adult populations. Her research expertise is in neurorehabilitation and knowledge translation.
Marissa is passionate about translational research and the unique role that clinicians, researchers, and educators play in promoting best practices. Marissa strongly believes in the power of collective action to improve the profession and is an active member of the Georgia Occupational Therapy Association, currently serving as a committee chair.
