Lucas Simoes is a physical therapist, doctor of physical therapy, board certified orthopedic clinic specialist and Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy – AAOMPT.
Graduated in 2001 in Brazil and after going through sports physical therapy and orthopedic physical therapy, Lucas arrived in Pittsburgh to as a Graduate Student Researcher and continue education in musculoskeletal physical therapy in 2005 where he stayed until 2008. Since 2008 Lucas has earned certification in manual therapy, dry needling and completed fellowship for AAOMPT in 2016 and in 2022 Lucas completed certification in orofacial pain. Lucas joined EIM in 2016 as teacher assistant and later that year joined Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Methodist University as Adjunct faculty, position he held until 2022 when he started a new clinic for Breakthrough Physical Therapy and increase his role teaching in weekend intensives for EIM. Lucas has extensive experience in manual therapy, management of orthopedic conditions and teaching, educating other fellow physical therapists. Now Lucas is actively engaged in instructing other Confluent physical therapists in orthopedic care.
