Bio

Lucas Hammond, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT has been a practicing clinician since 2007 when he graduated with his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Regis University. He has worked as a clinician in an outpatient orthopedic setting, both in private practice, and currently in a hospital-based outpatient clinic in Coeur d’Alene, ID. He uses his passion for remaining active and healthy himself, and his beliefs in movement as medicine and the power of therapeutic touch to help guide his practice with and helping his patients remain active. He is also passionate about progressing the field of physical therapy through the next generations of clinicians. To this end he has instructed in multiple settings. He is currently an instructor in the Orthopedic Manual Therapy Fellowship with EIM/Bellin College, primarily in the clinical reasoning coursework, since completing his Fellowship in 2014. He also instructs weekend musculoskeletal continuing education courses through EIM/Bellin College. He is an adjunct faculty member at Baylor University in the entry level DPT program, focusing on musculoskeletal and advanced patient management. He also provides in house education for the outpatient rehabilitation department at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene, ID. As a clinician, he is also embedded in the Family Practice Residency at Kootenai Health. He is an active member of the APTA and the AAOMPT.
