Occupational Therapy
Dr. Elizabeth Dixon serves as Didactic Coordinator and Assistant Clinical Professor at King’s College, where she is instrumental in developing the occupational therapy doctoral program through its ACOTE candidacy phase. With over 25 years of pediatric clinical experience spanning early intervention, school-based, and outpatient settings, she brings valuable real-world expertise to her academic position.
Dr. Dixon holds a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Bay Path University and a Master’s in Education from Wilkes University. Her clinical specializations include sensory integration, feeding therapy, handwriting intervention, and developmental assessment across diverse pediatric populations. She currently practices clinically at UPMC Williamsport, treating children from birth to three years.
As an active researcher, Dr. Dixon investigates authentic learning activities and academic integrity in occupational therapy education. She serves as an AOTA Scholarship of Teaching and Learning mentor and holds positions on multiple professional boards, including AOTF’s Audit Committee and Bay Path University’s OSEP Advisory Board. Her dual expertise in clinical practice and innovative education uniquely positions her to prepare the next generation of occupational therapists through evidence-based, authentic learning experiences.
