Dry Needling

Bio

Chris West, PT, MPT, has 29 years of experience as a clinician, serving a diverse and active patient population in Boulder, Colorado. He received his Masters of Physical Therapy from Chapman University in 1993 and has continued to take regular courses in manual therapy and orthopedics to remain on the cutting edge of current concepts in rehabilitation.

Chris was trained in dry needling in 2006 and began teaching as an assistant instructor in 2008. He has taught levels 1 and 2, clinical integration, and advanced clinical integration courses in the United States and Canada. Chris has also lent his expertise to EIM beyond the classroom and participated in course content creation.

He has owned a private PT practice since 2001 and continues to treat a full schedule of patients while administrating a clinical staff and facility as the co-founder of Pace West Physical Therapy. He is effective in integrating functional dry needling with manual therapies, corrective exercise, and integrative modalities to treat cervical, thoracic, and lumbar injuries.

As an avid back-country skier, cyclist and outdoor recreationist, Chris can relate well to the frustrations of not being able to perform the activities that one loves because of injury. He has also served as a consultant on several orthopedic pamphlets for Kramer/Stay Well, providing content information for revisions of their medical community materials.
