Dry Needling
Chris Covert graduated from West Virginia University (WVU) in 2008 with his DPT and completed the EIM Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency in 2010. He then completed an Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship Program with Sports Medicine of Atlanta in 2015. Chris is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Physical Therapy Specialist (OCS) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT).
Chris became certified in Functional Dry Needling (FDN) in 2011 and has served as an assistant instructor for FDN Level 1 courses since May 2022. Chris is passionate about teaching FDN and other manual therapy techniques. Chris is the DCE at the University of Charleston DPT program and active in clinical practice at First Settlement Physical Therapy in WV. His current clinical practice focuses on the cervical and lumbar spine, cervicogenic dizziness, and vestibular management of post-concussion symptoms.
