Bio

Andrea Mierau is a physical therapist who has been practicing since 2012. She obtained her Doctor of Physical Therapy from St. Catherine University and later earned her Doctor of Education in Health Professions Education from A.T. Still University in 2023. Dr. Mierau specializes in neuromuscular rehabilitation, with a focus on managing Parkinson’s Disease, vestibular and balance rehabilitation, and concussion management for athletes through older adults.

She is a certified LSVT BIG therapist for Parkinson’s Disease and has an advanced vestibular physical therapist certification from the University of Pittsburgh. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Mierau is an advanced certified clinical instructor and enjoys working with students during clinical education. She has served as the Director of Clinical Education at Augustana University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program since 2020 and teaches lab content for the neuromuscular curriculum.
