Patient Expectations: Why You Should Care

Patient expectations are defined as an individual’s belief in the potential for success in their treatment  approach. Research suggests that patient expectations have the potential to impact patient outcomes, including disability, function, and pain. Patient expectations can be positively modulated by exploring their beliefs, using an empathetic interaction style, and verbally suggesting that treatment is beneficial based on current best evidence. This webinar will explore describe how to leverage patient expectations to maximize treatment outcomes.
