Welcome to the Practice Leadership Podcast. This season we’re digging ever deeper into the PT industry’s biggest movers and shakers. Join us, your co-hosts, Tim Reynolds and Bryan Guzski, the authors of Movers & Mentors, as we deep-dive with the big guns – answering the big questions every future and current PT wants to know.
From Confluent Health and Evidence In Motion, The Practice Leadership Podcast’s Movers & Shakers Season will go straight to the source, asking our industry heavyweights for their wisdom, deconstructing influential quotes and learning a thing or two along the way.
This week we joined with the one and only Dr. Larry Benz, President/CEO of Confluent Health, a deliverer of musculoskeletal health solutions through private physical therapy, digital health, education (Evidence In Motion), occupational medicine (Fit For Work, IAA, Worksteps) and provider network management (PTPN). Prior to restructuring at Confluent Health, his PT Development LLC equity fund included holdings in Family Home Health, US Worldmeds, Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, and physicaltherapist.com amongst many others. A frequent lecturer with over 250 invited presentations at multiple conferences, physical therapy, MBA, and Executive Education programs throughout the country, Dr. Benz has served on the American Physical Therapy Association’s Advisory Panel on Practice, American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, and Foundation For Physical Therapy Research. He is the past Board Chairman at The University of Louisville. He currently is a Trustee at University of Louisville and board member of the University of Louisville Athletic Association and Evolve 502. He is the recipient of numerous business, leadership, and physical therapy awards, including Catherine Worthingham Fellow. His book published in 2019, Called to Care: A Medical Provider’s Guide to Humanizing Healthcare became an instant best seller on multiple lists.
