Replacement coursework does not have to be the same as the original course.
Refund Option: 30 Days from the course start date a full refund can be issued minus a $100.00 administrative fee. Your refund will be processed within 7-10 business days from receiving your refund request.* Any requests falling outside the timeframe stated in this policy, do not qualify for a refund.

WHEN EIM CANCELS A COURSE
EIM does our best to avoid course cancellation. However, if EIM must cancel a course due to some unforeseen or unavoidable circumstance, we will contact you at the primary email address and phone number you provided at the time of registration. You will be able to select a full refund or full letter of credit to transfer to a new course date within 12 months of the date of the original course. If a course in progress is interrupted by unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances, participants will receive credit to take the remainder of the course a later date. All other expenses such as airfare and hotel accommodations will not be reimbursed by EIM.
IF YOU MUST MISS A COURSE DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND YOUR CONTROL
If you must miss a course due to circumstances beyond your control (flight was canceled, a weather event makes travel impossible or unsafe, you are diagnosed with a contagious illness shortly before the course), EIM will allow a one time reschedule into another course that occurs within the next six months. The course you reschedule into does not have to be the same course or type of course that you were originally taking (example: you could reschedule from an onsite course to an online course); however, no refunds will be possible. You may communicate the need for this change to Evidence In Motion by reaching out to info@eimpt.com with proof of your reason for missing the course no later than Monday at 12 PM CST. You must subsequently choose and communicate your new course to Evidence In Motion by noon Central Standard time the Friday after the course ends; otherwise you will be considered a no show and funds will be forfeited.
CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT
The number of contact hours that may be applied toward continuing education (CE) credits are determined on a course-by-course basis. Courses eligible for CEU/CCU credit for physical therapists and physical therapist assistants are approved by the Texas Physical Therapy Association for online courses and courses held in Texas. The assignment of Texas PT CCUs does not imply endorsement of specific course content, products, or clinical procedures by TPTA or TBPTE. In addition, CE approval for physical therapists and physical therapist assistants is sought and pre-approved in the state where onsite courses are being held if pre-approval is required. EIM is also an AOTA accredited provider, and some courses are approved for CEUs for occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants. AOTA does not imply endorsement of specific course content, products, or clinical procedures by AOTA. Before learners receive a course certificate and an award of CE credit, they must successfully complete all course content and demonstrate learning with a minimum of a “C” on a post course quiz as well as complete a course survey.
Some courses may not be eligible for CE credit. If you have questions pertaining to your individual state requirements, please refer to your state’s licensing authority. We are happy to provide each registrant with documentation needed to submit for approval to their own licensing board for individual approval. Requests can be submitted to info@eimpt.com.
PROGRAMS
EIM recognizes that conditions can occur that may necessitate a withdrawal from the Program. EIM will calculate and provide a refund of a portion of the payment on a per credit hour basis for students who must withdraw. The actual refund amount (if any) will equal the total dollar amount of tuition payments made to EIM that exceed the dollar value of the total per credit hour tuition amount for course(s) completed. The total per credit hour tuition amount includes the tuition of course(s) partially completed. EIM’s decision to refund assumes that the student or Partner requesting a refund is current on all outstanding payments. Refunds on fees such as participant’s application fees, programming fees, and materials fees will not be provided.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a culture of academic integrity, all Participants must submit original work that reflects their effort and understanding. Plagiarism, defined as the presentation of someone else’s work, ideas, or words as one’s own without proper attribution, violates our standards and will not be tolerated. Procedure for Addressing Plagiarism If an instructor identifies a case of plagiarism in a Participant’s work, the following steps will be taken:
1. Notification: The instructor will email the Participant and the Program Director about the plagiarism incident. This email will remind the Participants of the academic integrity agreement they signed at the beginning of the course, reiterating their responsibility to uphold these standards.
2. Educational Opportunity: If this is the Participant’s first instance of plagiarism, the instructor may allow the Participant to resubmit the original assignment. The resubmitted work must demonstrate proper use of citations and adherence to academic integrity. If the resubmitted work meets these requirements, the highest grade the Participant can achieve for the assignment is a 70.
3. Second Offense: If a second instance of plagiarism occurs, more severe actions will be taken. Consequences may include, but are not limited to, failure of the course and/or dismissal from the academic program. The Program Director will review the case and determine the appropriate course of action. Plagiarism undermines the value of education and impacts professional development. We are committed to supporting Participants in understanding how to avoid plagiarism and develop their academic writing skills. Resources are available, and Participants are encouraged to seek guidance before submission if they need clarification on citation and referencing practices.
In this course, you may use AI tools, such as language models or content generators, to support your learning and assignments, provided their use is transparent and aligns with academic integrity standards. When utilizing AI tools, you must: · Cite and Acknowledge AI Contributions: Indicate when AI has been used in your work (e.g., for brainstorming, writing assistance, or research). Cite the specific tools used and describe their role in your process.
Note: you can ask AI to generate a citation for its contributions. · Maintain Originality: While AI can assist in generating ideas, refining writing, or fact- checking, the core analysis, synthesis of ideas, and personal contributions must reflect your own understanding and engagement with the course material. Submitting AI-generated content as your own work without proper attribution is considered a violation of academic integrity. · Limitations: AI tools should not be used to complete quizzes, assessments, or activities to evaluate your mastery of course objectives. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of AI does not undermine the learning process or violate course policies. · Confidential or Sensitive Information. Confidential or sensitive information, including data subject to HIPAA, HITECH, and FERPA requirements, should never be entered into third-party GenAI tools.
By following these guidelines, you can responsibly integrate AI tools into your learning experience while upholding the integrity and educational goals of the course. Use of AI that is inconsistent with the above expectations may result in a learner being subjected to disciplinary measures in accordance with appropriate policies
If a learner fails a course or courses, remediation opportunity will be solely at the discretion of the faculty and/or program director. Options for remediation may include repeating assignments for a higher grade, completing and submitting an alternative assignment, providing an extension to the course, and retaking the course.
Course Retake:
Course Extension:
Learners are expected to attend lab immersives and live online sessions in their entirety to receive credit. Learners may miss up to 1 hour per 8 hours of class time and still receive CE credit if arrangements are made with faculty to make up the content missed in some way. No partial credit will be issued for partial completion of coursework or onsites. If learners miss more than 1 hour per 8 hours of class time, they will receive a grade of NS (no show) and will subsequently lose access to Canvas coursework. In order to complete coursework/receive CE credit if this occurs, the learner will be required to retake the weekend course in its entirety.
Learners who request to take only a portion of a course understanding they will not be able to receive CE may be granted permission to do so at the sole discretion of the faculty member.
If learners did not sign in for the weekend, they should notify the faculty member as soon as possible, and no later than the Thursday following the course at 5 PM so that attendance records may be updated. Any learners who did not sign in will be placed into “no show” status on Tuesday morning if no updates were made by faculty. In order for learner access to the course/CE to be reinstated, learners must fill out the course liability waiver.
No attendance updates may be made later than the Friday following the course.
