Time to Rally

As we stand by and await instructions on medicare’s $1.10  per visit raise (or whatever 1.5% is) for us for “voluntary” reporting beginning July 1, we finally have a sensible bill floating in the house to completely eliminate the cap.  Let’s stop this theatre of absurdity once and for all before we have to rally around a moratorium again in late ’07.  Go to APTA’s wonderful legislative section of their web page and get to your Representative. If you are not a member, best reason ever to join (EIM has approved this message).

Think of how much money our government will save by eliminating hours upon hours of debate over how to best deal with alternatives to the cap.  Think of the costs of trying to comply with a reporting system on the one insurance plan that has the most heterogeneous,co-morbidities and varied diagnoses than any other population.
