Neurology
Dr. Uzair ‘Z’ Hammad is a Board Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist with special interest in rehabilitation following spinal cord injury, stroke, vestibular, and multiple sclerosis. After obtaining his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from the University of Central Florida, he completed his post-doctorate residency training in Neurology with a focus on neurological rehabilitation. Additionally, he serves as adjunct faculty at the School of Kinesiology and Physical Therapy at the University of Central Florida and is the Co-host for the APTA Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy’s Podcast (ANPT): Discussions in Spinal Cord Injury Science, where he interviews researchers and leading clinicians around the world with a specialty in spinal cord injury rehabilitation. He also speaks as a subject-matter expert at industry conferences and events. Dr. Z also leverages social media platforms to promote the importance of health and wellness, leadership, and overall business acumen for rehab therapy professionals while serving as a mentor for physical therapy students and local entrepreneurs.
He serves as a Fact Sheet Task Force Member for the Academy of Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education and possesses an accomplished scholarly and professional agenda, which is shown through his recognition through a variety of professional avenues.
