Bio

Katie Pecson is a Physical Therapist working at the VA dedicated to supporting veterans living with chronic pain, poor sleep, a trauma history and the effects of persistent stress physiology. Her approach blends evidence-based rehabilitation with a deep understanding of the nervous systemhelping patients reconnect with safety, resilience and meaningful function in their daily lives. Katie completed the three-year Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) program as well as EIM’s Therapeutic Pain Specialist (TPS) certification. She is also an iRest Level 2 Yoga Nidra Instructor, integrating mindfulness and trauma informed practices to support her patients living with chronic pain. Katie has facilitated iRest Yoga Nidra groups for veterans at the VA for over 4 years and has seen this group continue to grow in popularity, now typically serving more than 40 veterans per week. Katie appreciates the importance of collaborating with providers across multiple disciplines in treating chronic pain and represents Physical Therapy in a CoDisciplinary Pain Clinic team together with a Physician and a Psychologist.
