Bio

Dr. Grandeo has been teaching at the University of Lynchburg since 2014. Prior to becoming full-time faculty, he was a Senior Associate Physical Therapist at Body Dynamics, Inc. in Falls Church, VA, where he worked for 12 years. He served as a mentor in the residency program at Body Dynamics through Evidence In Motion. He completed a Fellowship Program with EIM in 2015 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. In addition, he is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist and certified to perform trigger point dry needling interventions. Currently, he teaches Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology and Wellness, and Wound Care with the first-year entry-level DPT students. He also teaches orthopaedics courses with second-year students.

Dr. Grandeo serves as the faculty supervisor for the University of Lynchburg Community Health Center; a student run pro bono clinic for residents of the surrounding Lynchburg community. His educational and research areas of interest beyond orthopaedics and manual therapy include therapeutic neuroscience and its relationship to injury and chronic conditions. Dr. Grandeo continues to work in a clinical setting on a per diem basis at BWX Technologies; a self-insured nuclear energy equipment supplier.
