J.D. Whittemore earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Central Arkansas in 2010 and completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health Promotion at Louisiana Tech University in 2007. He completed his sports physical therapy residency with Evidence In Motion in 2013 and is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy (SCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.
Since 2010, Dr. Whittemore has practiced with Texas Physical Therapy Specialists and currently serves as the managing partner at the Westlake clinic in Austin, TX. He has been mentoring sports residents since 2015.
With EIM, Dr. Whittemore serves as faculty for multiple courses including Emergency Medical Response for the Sports Venue, Concussion Management, and Evidence-Based Sports Physical Therapy Competency. He is also a course developer and facilitator for online learning and virtual sports rounds, contributing to the advancement of clinical education and the development of sports physical therapy professionals nationwide.
