Eiko Shannon is a physical therapist and healthcare management specialist integrating pain neuroscience, psychologically informed practice, and lifestyle‑based rehabilitation. With expertise in orthopedic and persistent pain conditions, Dr. Shannon blends evidence‑based therapy with system-level insight to improve patient outcomes and care delivery. Her work focuses on knee osteoarthritis, ACL reconstruction, and the development of biopsychosocial, patient‑centered rehab pathways. She works at Intermountain medical center in Utah as an acute physical therapist and ED physical therapist and is originally from Japan. She loves working with patients with complex pain experiences and enjoys learning from her patients. She is passionate about guiding patients to become more independent after life altering illnesses and injuries and returning to their lives. Shebecame a therapeutic pain specialist last year and it has changed her perspective in patient care as PNE empowers her patients. She loves watching her patients experience “aha! moments “when she shares PNE in the hospital.
