Brian Freund

Pain Science

Brian Freund graduated from Rockhurst University in 1999 with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy and then had the dubious honor of working alongside with Adriaan in an outpatient private practice, where Adriaan and Brian “indulged” in manual therapy. Brian is one of the original founding members of Midwest Spine Therapists, which has since become International Spine and Pain Institute. Brian returned to St. Louis where he became a physical therapist for SSM Rehab.  He also returned to school and completed an MBA from Lindenwood University in 2004.

Brian works at Axes Physical Therapy treating patients, while assuming other roles within the business, such as mentoring and training others. Brian has completed extensive post-graduate training in manual therapy, including courses from the Neuro Orthopedic Institute and the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy. Brian is married with two children, and spends leisure time participating in a variety of sporting activities.
