Bio

Dr. Andrew Tomas is the Physical Therapy Department head at the Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Unit in Portsmouth New Hampshire, at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. His university affiliations include adjunct faculty positions at Franklin Pierce University and Evidence In Motion, teaching Advanced Imaging and Diagnostics, including EKG, and musculoskeletal courses, respectively. Most of Dr. Tomas’ interests applies to the field of orthopaedic physical therapy, in which he also has been working in direct patient care for most of my career. His varied background allows him to draw upon his engineering education, potentially using  mechanical/biomechanical skills and blending them into physical therapy biomechanics and research.

Dr. Tomas’ hands-on experience includes specialization in the field of orthopedics and occupational health, teaching evidence-based healthcare seminars and courses for the past 30+ years, and appointment as adjunct faculty for Evidence In Motion and Franklin Pierce University. He has a diverse background, personally and professionally, that has broadened his life view and perspectives.
