I hope that through my clinical practice and teaching to help bridge the gap between orthopedic and geriatric physical therapy to ensure that our older adult patients are getting the best evidence-informed care.
Dr. Andrew C. Thomas, PT, DPT, DSc is a physical therapist in the outpatient orthopaedic setting and Full-Time Faculty at Husson University in Bangor, Maine.
Andrew is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT), Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy (OCS), Therapeutic Pain Specialist (TPS), Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist (CMTPT/DN), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and a Certified Exercise Expert in Aging Adults (CEEAA). He recently completed his Doctor of Science in Physical (DScPT) through Bellin College.
Dr. Thomas has previous experience teaching continuing education for the Illinois Physical Therapy Association and APTA Geriatrics. Andrew is a current member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists as well as the American Physical Therapy Association.
