Bio

Dr. Amy Schechter has been a part of EIM since 2022. She initially earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida in 2005 in English Education and went on to earn her Master’s in Secondary Education and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a research cognate in 2010 and 2014, respectively. She has extensive experience in face to face, hybrid, and online education having worked with large, urban school districts and Florida Virtual School to develop curriculum/assessments and provide professional development to in-service and pre-service teachers. She is also adjunct faculty at Liberty University where she enjoys working with adult learners and doing qualitative research in education. Dr. Schechter enjoys spending time with her two boys and her husband where they watch football, play guitar, and enjoy the outdoors.
