This article which is typical of what we see in mainstream news is indicative of an on-going pet peeve of mine.  Why didn’t it state the physical therapist’s name?  I think that it is our obligation for our patients to remember our name and not that they are “takin’ therapy” or in “physical therapy“.  A news article would never say that the patient was taking “neurology”, it would state that the patient was seeing Dr. xxx, a neurologist.  We have to make physical therapy less of a commodity by associating our name with the specialty which is critical in our vision of a doctoring profession.
