DN+ is an educational series powered by Evidence In Motion specifically for clinicians already trained in dry needling. The content is not intended as education on basic dry needling technique, but specific clinical applications for those who have already completed their introductory dry needling competency training. The courses look to answer the expert-level questions regarding clinical application for dry needling in the context of specific patient populations, various diagnoses, and advanced methodological application.
DN+Athletes: Management of Climbing Injuries is designed to take an in-depth look at climbing injuries – how they occur, who they occur to, and what we as clinicians can do to help climbers fully recover from these injuries and return to their passion. Dry needling is a crucial tool to optimize local tissue health, facilitate improved neuromuscular connections, and improve the biomechanical forces that will ultimately ensure a successful return to sport. Due to the distinctive nature of climbing, it is first important to understand climbing types, terminology, and movement in order to fully relate to your patient. This course is not meant to be a comprehensive climbing course, as the focus will remain on how to integrate DN into a clinical practice involving climbers, however it is necessary to have a basic knowledge of the sport. Most injury modules will contain a brief discussion of therapeutic exercise to complement the DN techniques, however an in-depth exploration of adjunct therapies/exercise therapy will not be covered. You are all highly skilled and unique physios who will be able use your individual ski
By the end of the course, a successful learner will be able to:
