Admissions Requirements

  1. All applicants must provide a copy of a current and valid license to practice physiotherapy. This license must be in good standing.
  2. All applicants must have successfully completed an entry-to-practice Bachelors or Masters degree program in physical therapy/physiotherapy from an accredited university.
  3. Applicants who have graduated from a university outside of the US or Canada must provide a copy of their physical therapy degree equivalency evaluation for admission. Most EIM learners choose to use the World Education Services Credentialing or IERF. The APTA also has a directory of other acceptable credentialing agencies.
  4. If English is not the applicant’s native/first language, the language of common use in clinical practice, or language used in the applicant’s physiotherapy professional education, specified language proficiency requirements may be required.
