So this is the difference between personal trainers and PT’s according to this article in the Post-Crescent from Appleton, Wisconsin
“A lot of times, people do these (physical therapy) treatments trying to get immediate pain relief, but the results don’t last as long because they’ve never restored strength in those areas,” he added. “The potential of facilities like this is that we are able to provide not only therapy but also what hopefully will lie beyond for most people, which is exercise and activity.”
I wonder whether we will see more of these “distraction free-personal training facilties” in the future now that I know PT’s don’t know anything about restoring strength.
This remains the key reasons we have to promote physical therapists and not “physical therapy treatments” to the public.
