Mariana graduated from SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2012 and until Fall 2018 was a full-time clinician. She has practiced in various settings, including orthopedic outpatient, neuromuscular outpatient, a falls clinic, skilled nursing facility, and an inpatient rehabilitation facility. She is an active member of the Vermont Falls Coalition, Gerontology Society of America, and Academy of Geriatrics. Fall 2018, she returned to school for a PhD in Human Functioning and Rehabilitation Sciences and is studying barriers and solutions of physical activity prescription in outpatient physical therapy clinics. During her free-time she enjoys spending time with her husband and Greater Swiss Mountain Dog as well as traveling, running ultramarathons, competing in Ironman’s, hiking, and skiing.
