Get rid of the wiihabilitation craze and get with Johnny Lee. I saw him demonstrate this as part of the TED conference last week. By convering the Wii to a Wiimote and using an infrared pen (he shows how to make one of these cheaply as well), he shows how you can make a whiteboard on the wall and a computer screen and this has 80% of the functionality of professional solutions for 1% of the cost. With 2 pens, it supports multitouch! His software has been dowloaded (he gives it away) and has become quite popular in underresourced public schools.
People love innovation-especially when it involes a less expensive way to get things done. We need to get this research engineer trumpeting physical therapy as a cheaper and better alternative to surgery, imaging, and drugs.
