“Neurophysiologic” and “biomechanical” are just 2 terms associated with manual therapy. Psychological aspects of care have also been described, but what about the “social” in the biopsychosocial model? In this talk, we will discuss how socioeconomic differences, implicit bias, unshared lived experiences, race, and gender can both influence and negatively affect patient care outcomes.
