90% of older adults do not meet the recommended levels of physical activity (PA), resulting in an increased risk of morbidity and mortality. To prevent these potential consequences of inactivity, health care providers, including physical therapists and physical therapist assistants (PT/PTAs), need to incorporate health promotion into their daily practice. Successful health promotion requires the ability to assess an individual’s level of PA, readiness to initiate PA, and identification of PA barriers. This webinar will provide PT/PTAs with the tools needed to perform a thorough evaluation of physical inactivity.
