With that seriousness comes being READY for the vacation so that you don’t have to spend the entire time recovering.
There are three important points to consider doing before your vacation so that your vacation is not sabotaged:
- Complete whatever you can prior to leaving (tie up loose ends)
- Make it clear that you will NOT be available (and stick to it)
- Ask for support to ensure things are in capable hands
