Shoulders and Dry Needling is a part of Dry Needling Plus, powered by Evidence In Motion and iDryNeedle. These advanced courses take you beyond foundational skills to master dry needling in your specialty.

Course Description

The Shoulder and Dry Needling is an online course providing both theoretical and tactical methodology for management of shoulder dysfunction. The course will review thorough anatomy of the shoulder girdle, dry needling technique safety, post-needling corrective exercise strategies, and various other treatment considerations relevant to the shoulder. Online lecture, video demonstrations, clinical commentary, quizzes and supporting research are included to reinforce learning and rationale for using dry needling in shoulder rehab.

Prerequisite: Functional Dry Needling Level 1 or equivalent


  • Examine the anatomy, function, and clinical importance of shoulder musculature accessible in the patient prone and supine position
  • Examine the anatomy, function, and clinical importance of including the cervical spine in shoulder rehab
  • Discuss technical aspects of dry needling application, including safety, dosage, and e-stim parameters
  • Investigate corrective exercise strategies to reinforce clinical changes from DN techniques
