I agree, Amy. I still find it sad that our new grads are feeling this way so soon into the profession. I know plenty of people working for 10,15 or 20+ years who are or have been brunt out. You are right that productivity being a major driver. With this though, I still do not think that reimbursement rates or compensation will help - look at the MDs and their similar feelings. Any other things you feel are important to avoid this?

Some good points but burnout is still an issue across the board whether new graduate or not. Unfortunately, the pressure of productivity is coming at all ends because reimbursement continues to get lower and yet we are so highly educated (which comes at a cost). At some point, therapists need to be compensated for their skills and knowledge because working hard with little ability to advance monetarily can be decentivizing.
